St. Michael School uses the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) for any emergency situations.
In the event of an actual emergency situation parents play a vital role and can help by doing the following:
· Stay Home: The natural instinct for parents or guardians is to contact or come to the school building during an emergency. In an actual emergency, staff will not be available to answer the phone, allow parents into the building or release students from the building. Please stay away from the school unless you are directed to come to school.
· Stay Informed: Information will be shared with families as soon as possible. You will automatically be included in School Messenger emails and text messages if your information is accurate in PowerSchool. Please opt in to our text messaging service by sending a text message of “Yes” to our school’s short code number: 67587.
· Be Ready: Be prepared to receive and follow instructions from Pius X High School or the Diocese of Lincoln, including where to go and what to bring.
