New School Lunch Charge Policy
The USDA requires all students participating in federal meal programs to have a written and clearly communicated policy that addresses unpaid meal charges. An unpaid meal occurs when there are no funds available in the Student Lunch Account.
Federal guidelines do NOT allow the School Lunch Program to operate on credit. If your account is overdrawn your payment is due immediately. All families participating in the School Lunch Program are required to set up a MySchoolBucks account. Payments can be made through MySchoolBucks with a $3.50 credit card transaction fee or sent to the school office by cash or check.
Families are encouraged to pay attention to student account balances. By working together, the St. Michael Catholic School Lunch Program will continue to operate and provide delicious and well-balanced lunches at a reasonable cost. Please note access to My School Bucks accounts opens two weeks before the first day of school.
