At St. Michael school we are committed to doing everything we can to ensure that our students and staff have a safe environment to work and learn everyday. In addition to making it mandatory that all those who come to St. Michael everyday wear face coverings, we have worked very hard to promote social distance and frequent hand washing/sanitizing throughout the building, revised seating plans to allow for more space per student and adjusted schedules so that student cohort groups do not intermingle.
We are also asking that all students and staff at St. Michael School conduct a self-screen before arriving on school grounds each day. Families were provided a magnet that lists some self-screening questions. If the answer to any one of the 4 questions is “Yes,” please call the office and do not send your child to school. You are then highly encouraged to contact your child’s doctor or the LincolnLancaster County Health Department (LLCHD) for further guidance.
Families and staff will be notified if there is a COVID positive case at St. Michael School, but not whether it is a staff member or student, nor which classroom, and given instructions for next steps as directed by LLCHD. It is vital that all families keep contact information current. If you have made changes to your contact information, please call the school office to update.
