St. Michael Preschool provides an environment in which children can grow socially, mentally, creatively, emotionally, and spiritually. To experience happiness and success is our focus each day. Through hands on activities, our goal is for each child to feel good about themselves.

My name is Barb Krenk, otherwise known as Ms. Barb. My wonderful husband Mike and I have been married for 32 years. We have been blessed with 3 incredible children. Makayla, Devin and Blake. This is my 35th year teaching young people!! I am excited to meet your child along with their unique personalities. I hope your child is ready to have fun and learn. I am a firm believer that I should learn something new every day, so that is my goal during the summer to research new ideas and learning techniques and procedures for our young learners. During the school year I learn from your children every day!!!! I will be implementing new ideas that I feel your child will truly benefit from and have a fun time while growing this year. |
Littles and Bigs
My name is Mrs. Lauren Wade, or better known as Ms. Lauren. I’m a Pius X graduate and have degrees from Nebraska Wesleyan University and Creighton University and am also a Certified Pediatric Nurse. In addition to nursing, I previously worked for over 6 years at a local Montessori school, learning and practicing these methods first-hand. My husband and I have a daughter, Charlotte, and two very ornery puppies, Ruby and Reggie. My teaching philosophy is to encourage your child’s independence and problem solving skills all while having fun and exploring the world around them. I encourage them to ask the questions “Why?” and “How?” as often as possible. I will frequently tell them, “You can do it!” I do this in an effort to grow their self confidence and ability to problem solve on their own. Being a preschool teacher at St. Michael’s has been a wonderful experience and I’m delighted to be a part of your child’s life. The moment they write their name for the first time, or are able to identify a letter, is beyond rewarding. I’m very grateful that I am able to witness all of these achievements on a daily basis. It’s a privilege to be able to teach your child a love of God and of learning. |
St. Michael School Promotes Learning...
By creating a safe nurturing environment, that promotes learning…children are able to explore, discover and actively participate.
By focusing on the process of learning…children are allowed to have fun.
By providing opportunities for success…children become excited about learning.
By providing a variety of activities …children are able to make choices and use their own learning styles to gain knowledge.
St. Michael’s focuses on the children’s interest. Children are given the opportunities to practice, investigate and enjoy time with friends.
Each day, children will be provided with structured learning, story time, music, art, large and fine motor skills, math, reading, science and smart board activities. Through hands-on activities, the children learn how to problem solve, resolve conflict, and get along with peers. In addition to regular class time activities and outside play, we will visit the library and have fun in the gym. There are parent/child activities that will be sent home for families to do together. Christmas time will bring a Christmas Program for all to enjoy. In May, we will celebrate with an End of the Year Program.
Children will discover goodness in all that they do and how God is part of their everyday life. We believe if we love the children and nurture them with positive praise and encouragement, they will develop a sense of positive self-esteem.
If you have a 3 – 5 year-old ready school, please consider St. Michael Catholic School . All children who enroll in our preschool program must be toilet trained.
